Two Row on the Grand combines a love of the river with spiritual teachings

HALDIMAND—Two Row on the Grand, a local paddle group who mix yearly trips along the Grand River with cultural teachings from the Six Nations community, was a long time in the making.

The popular group is the culmination of a partnership between Jay Bailey of Simcoe and Ellie Joseph of Six Nations, who first met in 2013 at a canoeing event. Joseph invited Bailey to the two-week long Two Row Wampum Renewal Campaign Paddle in the States later that year.
