YARMOUTH—The war in Ukraine has inspired so many Canadians to donate money and supplies in support of the afflicted country. Former Waterford resident Candice Phibbs, now of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, drew upon her Ukrainian heritage and the spirit of community to organize a pierogi fundraiser that raised more than $9,000 for the cause.
