June 12, 2020, Simcoe, ON – The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit continues to respond to an outbreak of COVID-19 at a Scotlynn Group farm.
As of June 12, 169 migrant workers have tested positive for the virus, while 18 others associated with the farm have also tested positive.
Two migrant workers remain in hospital, and one is in intensive care.
The outbreak continues to be largely contained to the farm, and any close contacts of farm workers are in self-isolation. The Health Unit team continues to monitor and test the workers in an effort to bring the outbreak to a conclusion.
