HALDIMAND—The Ontario government announced this week that vaccine shots are now available for booking for anyone over the age of 40 in the province, as well as those with at-risk health conditions and additional workers who cannot work from home.
At-risk conditions now eligible include diabetes, dementia, and sickle cell disease. The growing list of essential workers now eligible includes essential and critical retail, construction, manufacturing, and transportation workers.
In Haldimand County, the rolling average of cases is down to about 19 per day as the third wave crests and fears over out-of-control transmission are lessening.
