JARVIS—A little more than a week after being placed in the Jarvis Lions Park pavilion, the Lupton Street Studio’s piano was destroyed by vandals.
It is believed the damage occurred some time between the evening of July 3 and the following morning.
The ‘piano in the park’ was set up on June 24 for Studio instructors to provide outdoor music lessons. Park visitors were also encouraged to “play in the park”. Response to this unique initiative was positive with posts to the Studio Facebook page showing the instrument in use.
