HAGERSVILLE—Warm Up Haldimand is a group of volunteers who keep their hands busy knitting throughout the year to help keep hands – and feet – warm through the winter.
Sandra Mallett is the Public Relations Coordinator at the Haldimand Abilities Centre (HAC), which coordinates Warm Up Haldimand. She describes it as a “full circle” program in that HAC seeks donations of wool from the community, which are then provided to the ladies of Warm Up Haldimand. When complete, the knit items are gathered and donated by HAC to various partner agencies and organizations.
