CALEDONIA—The Wanda and Scott Salverda Memorial golf tournament was held this past Friday at the MontHill Golf and Country Club, raising over $65,000.
This annual tradition raises funds as a way to extend thanks and give back to the community that helped the Salverda family through a time of crisis. In addition to funds given to local food banks and charity groups, the organizers handed out eight $500 bursaries in memory of Ray Miles, $5,000 to local hospitals, and a $10,000 scholarship awarded to Waterford District High student Jordyn Carmichael.
