DUNNVILLE—Haldimand County has recently recruited new firefighters and Station 7 Lowbanks has a couple of new faces: Katie Quinn and Chris Holland, both of Dunnville.
Katie Quinn, 23, has been around the fire hall since she was a little girl. Her father was a volunteer firefighter for 14 years and her mother and brother are both currently involved in emergency services as well.
“It was only a matter of time before I jumped on board too,” explained Quinn. “I’ve always admired any person in the emergency services. It takes a special kind of person to run at danger when everyone else is running away from it. If I can have the opportunity to help someone in need, I want to help in any way I can.”
