Wanted: United Way seeks jailbirds for annual Jail & Bail fundraiser

CAYUGA—United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk is excited to announce their third annual Jail & Bail fundraiser being held Thursday, September 19, 2019.

The Norfolk portion of the event will take place in the parking lot of Shoppers Drug Mart in Simcoe from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The Haldimand portion will take place in the parking lot of Foodland in Cayuga from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Volunteers will be “locked up” for 1.5 hours, or until “bail” money is raised. Jailbirds are able to set their own bail and can sign up as an individual outlaw or as a team of ‘criminal masterminds’ with friends, family, or coworkers.
