HAGERSVILLE—West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) is interested in extraordinary individuals who are willing to help re-shape the future of health care in our communities and surrounding areas for the years to come.
“We are searching for a group of exceptional people who are willing to dedicate their time, energy, and knowledge to help us make a positive change to our health care system,” said WHGH Board Chair, David Skye.
He continued, “Our Board of Directors is interested in volunteers committed to ensuring our hospital provides outstanding, quality patient and family-centred care.”
As a highly skilled-based board, we are seeking to fill vacancies with interested volunteers who:
- Share the hospital’s values of innovation, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.
- Commit to advocating for the advancement of the hospital’s mission/purpose and values.
- Are willing to promote our vision and our strategic directions.
- Are able to commit the time required to perform board and committee duties. The board meets approximately eight times a year.
- Enhance our public standing by actively promoting our mission and accomplishments and assist in building community partnerships.
- Follow board policies, including those related to conflict of interest and confidentiality.
- Organizational knowledge and capabilities in health care or legal services would be an asset.
