HAGERSVILLE—In honour of the 60th anniversary of Canada’s flag, the West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) Auxiliary is holding a special sale of handcrafted headstone saddles on April 30, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital lobby. Saddles (available in two sizes), table top arrangements, and shepherd hook lanterns will be for sale – first come, first served. Many are traditional red and white and all include Canadian flags. The Cafe, operated by the Auxiliary, will be open as well with a selection of maple treats in keeping with the patriotic theme. Proceeds from the sale support the hospital. Pictured above is WHGH Auxiliary member Darlene Smith, one of the volunteers who create the saddles and arrangements.
