2025 Caledonia Fair wraps up in style

CALEDONIA—The 2025 Caledonia Fair delivered unforgettable fun this past weekend for thousands of families from Haldimand and beyond.

From Thursday, September 25 through Sunday, September 28, 2025, tens of thousands of people poured through the gates to enjoy everything the fair has to offer – from traditional agricultural exhibits, 4-H showmanship, and midway rides to live music, local food, homecrafts, and family fun. Sunny skies and warm autumn temperatures set the stage for a perfect fall fair weekend.

“We are absolutely thrilled with how this year’s fair turned out. From the incredible weather to the enthusiastic crowds and the hard work of our volunteers, everything came together beautifully,” said Caledonia Agricultural Society President Jodie Easson.

Behind the scenes, volunteers were the heartbeat of the Caledonia Fair, from planning the event to running competitions and exhibits to maintaining the fairgrounds throughout the weekend. Their passion and commitment not only preserve local traditions but also ensure each visitor has a safe, memorable, and welcoming experience.

“It’s a true reflection of what a community can accomplish when we work together. On behalf of the Agricultural Society, I want to thank everyone who came out to support the fair – your energy and participation are what make this event so special year after year,” Easson continued.

The much-loved High School Challenge drew plenty of cheers and school spirit from the crowd. Students from local high schools showcased their teamwork, energy, and determination as they faced off in friendly competition. Cayuga Secondary School emerged as the 2025 champion.

A highlight of the weekend was the Fair Fortune 50/50 draw, which reached an incredible total prize value of over $100,000. This draw is part of a collaborative effort among seven of southern Ontario’s top fall fairs: Caledonia, Paris, West Niagara, Binbrook, Ancaster, Norfolk County, and the Rockton World’s Fair.

With every ticket purchased, fairgoers not only got the chance to win big, but also helped support important causes like local agricultural education, environmental conservation, and the arts.

The prize value will continue to grow as the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show approaches October 7-13 in Simcoe.
