To the Editors,

On Saturday, February 15, 2020 a courageous and loving heart stopped beating as a result of a tragedy at Peacock Point. Without thought for his own safety Alex Ottley bravely jumped into the frigid waters of Lake Erie to save his friend Jackson. His heroic actions have forever left an indelible mark on our hearts.

Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the passersby, Mr. and Mrs. Spicer, who immediately rushed to the aid of Alex and Jackson, and were able to rescue Jackson. Our thanks to the immediate response of the OPP, Fire, and Coast Guard for their professional expertise and persistence to the recovery effort.
