To the Editors,
My husband, who was living with dementia, suffered a stroke 11 months ago. In September 2019 I had him transferred back to the Hagersville hospital. He was looked after very well until a long-term care bed became available at Anson Place, where he spent the last three months of his life.
I cannot praise this facility enough. The compassion and tender care they give all the long-term residents and their loved ones is fantastic. I spent seven hours at my husband’s bedside before he died, and even though they are working with a skeleton crew they treated everyone very well. I don’t know how they do it.
