HALDIMAND—Haldimand County has developed an interim process for rural landowners who wish to obtain burn permits. Starting May 6, 2020, no-cost, temporary, non-recreational burn permits will be available to rural residents. Permits will be valid only during the pandemic situation.
Once regular operations resume, all temporary, non-recreational burn permits will be void and the existing burn permit process will take effect. At this time, anyone wishing to conduct non-recreational burns will be required to purchase a permit for the remainder of the year.
