DUNNVILLE—On Saturday, June 27, 2020 the Dunnville community mourned the loss of Siegfried Hubert “Sig” Rose, beloved “Mr. Soccer,” a teacher at the former Fairview Avenue School.
With restrictions from COVID-19 the community was unable to attend the service, so it was decided that they would honour him at the soccer park that he loved so much and where he spent a good deal of his life. Honour him they did as more than 100 adults and children lined Inman Road like an honour guard for his family as they passed on the way to the funeral (shown above).

Tony Stratton set up soccer balls, which spelled out Sig.
