Prank call to 911 results in public mischief charge

HAGERSVILLE—On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at approximately 12:52 a.m., Haldimand OPP responded to a 911 emergency call for a medical emergency at a John Street, Hagersville address.

The officers responded to the medical emergency along with Haldimand County Paramedics because 911 was contacted. Officers arrived on scene and were unable to locate anyone in medical distress. While searching the area, a second 911 call was received at approximately 1:09 a.m., for emergency services to attend a Main Street address for another person in medical distress. Officers arrived at the second address and were again unable to locate anyone that needed assistance.
