HALDIMAND—The Ontario government, in partnership with the federal government, is delivering on its commitment to provide urgently needed emergency assistance to Ontario’s 444 municipalities. Communities in Haldimand and Norfolk will receive funding to address municipal operating pressures related to the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the first round of emergency funding under the Safe Restart Agreement.
Locally, Haldimand County will receive $2,532,800 in municipal funding while Norfolk County will receive $3,662,400 in municipal funding and an additional $19,119 in transit funding.
“This funding is important to assist municipalities with increased expenses due to COVID-19,” said MPP Toby Barrett.
