HALDIMAND—In recent weeks many families have been asking the question, “What can we do for Halloween?” Several community groups, businesses, and volunteers have been re-imagining the holiday to provide safe, seasonal fun. Here’s a sampling of what’s happening around Haldimand to ensure that our little ghosts and goblins will have their ‘trick or treats’.
Townsend Lions Pumpkin Carving Contest
The Townsend Lions annual Thanksgiving Harvestfest with face painting, hay rides, bouncy castles, pumpkin carving, and lunch had to be cancelled this year. Lion Angela Payne says, “We felt that we still wanted to give back to our community in some way this fall and thought that a Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest could be fun.”
