JARVIS—In January 2020, Luxe and Company opened as a multi-business facility; the former tavern was fully renovated to accommodate a cafe, yoga studio, MC’s Outback Takeout, and a variety of services including tattoo artistry, aesthetics and hair salons, massage, and more. On March 26 and 27, 2021 it became a gallery as well, showcasing the work of artist Svava Thordis Juliusson.

Originally from Iceland, Juliusson now resides near Hagersville, having moved to Haldimand from Hamilton. She has studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Bachelor of Fine Arts), and York University (Master of Fine Arts). Her art has been exhibited throughout Canada, along with in Iceland and Germany.
