Enhancements to Cayuga parks waiting on funding

CAYUGA—Last week, Council members got a look at proposed work being considered for a number of public park spaces in Cayuga, including the old County administration building property, Bob Baigent Park, the Village Green, and the Cayuga Library and Heritage Centre.

The plans were part of an update to the Parks and Recreation Service Plan designed to look for opportunities for park space to match the anticipated growth of the County over the next 20 years. Concurrent with the development of the Parks and Recreation Service Plan were a number of major capital projects in Cayuga that impacted the timeline for potential enhancements to local parks.
