JARVIS—At Jarvis Public School, members of the Parent Council needed to re-think fundraising in order to support a major renovation planned for the school library. Council Chairperson Lynn Alliston explains, “This has been a very challenging year for school fundraising due to requirements laid out by the Board that have to be followed as a result of COVID, understandably.”

Among the requirements: no deliveries to the school, no cash sent to the school or collected by students, and no student contact for sales. Alliston says, “This made our opportunities quite limited.”
