HALDIMAND—Although critics have questioned the reasoning behind Justin Trudeau’s decision to call a federal election while the country continues to handle COVID-19, Haldimand-Norfolk Liberal candidate Karen Matthews was preparing for a trip to the polls long before Trudeau brought the rest of the country into the mix.
