Hewitt defends comments on extended Hwy. 6 blockade

CALEDONIA—Haldimand Mayor Ken Hewitt has stirred the pot online with a comment aimed at Land Back spokesperson Skyler Williams and others engaged in the recent blockade of the Highway 6 bypass in Caledonia. 

“Maybe Skyler and his merry band of thugs should look within before blaming the RCMP, the OPP, the Government, and everyone else who does not agree,” wrote Hewitt on Sunday, November 28, 2021. The post goes on to refer to Williams as representative of the “worst of society.”
