To the Editors,
Once again, Hydro One power line maintenance crews deserve our thanks and gratitude for their selfless dedication to restoring power throughout our county on Saturday. They performed their highly skilled essential services out of sight of most of us, but those of us without power for hours on end immediately witnessed their successes. It is typical that the worst weather causes the worst problems, but Saturday winds set the bar to a new high. I can’t even imagine climbing a hydro pole, or a ladder, with 100 kph winds whistling around my ears. Yet, for them, it is all in a day’s work. I also appreciated Hydro One’s targeted email alerts and updates to keep us informed of progress or delays. I did not feel forgotten in the chaos. Many thanks.
