HALDIMAND—Skyler Williams, spokesperson for 1492 Land Back Lane, a group of self-described land defenders who blocked the development of the McKenzie Meadows subdivision in Caledonia has landed on the winning side of an appeal made before a three-judge panel at the Ontario Court of Appeals.
Justice Lorne Sossin released a written decision on December 21, 2021, stating that the Superior Court judge who heard the October 2020 motion erred when he denied Williams’ rights to procedural fairness and the opportunity to be heard
