Haldimand hit by freezing rain, flooding, and snow

HALDIMAND—On Thursday, February 17, 2022 local conservation authorities released flood watches and warnings due to higher temperatures and increased percipitation.

A release from Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) explained, “The resulting snowmelt, combined with 20-40mm of rainfall overnight across the Grand River watershed, will result in some flooding in low-lying areas.”
