CALEDONIA — The Caledonia Lions Club, which has been hosting their annual Fish Fry for the past 14 years, is set to host this event again this spring.

“This year will be a normal year. We will have take-out, dine-in, and a bar,” says Scott Brownell, the President of the Caledonia Lions.

The Fish Fry events will all take place on Fridays.

The dates include March 18 and 25, April 1 and 8 (all from 4 to 7:30 p.m.), and Good Friday, April 15, from 3 to 7:30 p.m.

The annual Fish Fry is held at the Caledonia Lions Hall located at 100 Haddington Street, attached to the arena.

This year’s event will mark a return to the normal schedule: “Last spring, we did the annual Fish Fry, but only two days because of COVID concerns,” explains Brownell.

According to Brownell, “the funds for all Lions events go back into Haldimand and Norfolk. We donated over $20,000 last year.”

The long list of organizations that benefit from the funds raised by the Caledonia Lions include: HN Community Living, Caledonia Food Bank, Six Nations Food Bank, HN Alzheimer Society, Caledonia Canada Day, and Haldimand Youth Soccer, just to name a few.
