HALDIMAND — Haldimand OPP responded to a report of an assault on May 3, 2022 at 5 p.m. at a residence on Highway 3 in Haldimand County.
The victim, a 52-year-old individual, was assaulted by two males and forced to withdraw money from his bank account. As a result of the investigation, the accused was charged with the following offences:
- Robbery using firearm
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
- Forcible confinement.
The accused is being held for bail and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga to answer to the charges.
