CALEDONIA — Haldimand Horticultural Society (HHS) met in Caledonia for their annual Plant & Bake Sale on May 14, 2022. “We had an excellent turnout of happy gardeners who scooped up the many different varieties of plants available for sale,” said HHS member Barb Wilson. “Several people signed up to be a member and we look forward to seeing them at our next General Meeting. We also welcomed a visitor from England who came to see what was offered at the plant tables, as well as the bake sale table.”
The next General Meeting is Thursday, May 26 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church at 7:30 p.m. Please check HHS’ website for upcoming events, which include the “Garden of the Month” award. This is awarded monthly from May to August to recognize Haldimand residents whose properties have aesthetic appeal, and to inspire others to take pride in their front yard and gardens. HHS’ upcoming Garden Tour is set for July 16 and 17, “Horticulturally, the month of May is opening night, homecoming, and graduation day all rolled into one.”
