DUNNVILLE—Haldimand OPP has charged another motorist with racing a motor vehicle.
On May 30, 2022, at 10:29 p.m., OPP stopped a vehicle on Rainham Road near Marshall Road in Dunnville that was travelling more 60km over the posted 50km/hour speed limit. Police charged a 24-year-old of Wellandport, with: Race a motor vehicle – stunt; Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit; and Driver fail to surrender licence.
The accused was issued three provincial summons to attend court, along with a 30-day driver’s licence suspension. The vehicle was towed and will be impounded for 14 days. The individual is to appear at the Provincial Offences Court in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
