CALEDONIA—On May 19, 2022, the various parties who participated in the creation of the pollinator garden in LaFortune Park met on site to view the recently installed sign board and to check on the status of the garden.
The group all agreed that the sign was very effective in explaining the benefits of having pollinator/native plants in our gardens in order to support the vital work of pollinators and also that the garden was progressing very well. The public is encouraged to visit the park located on Highway 54, west of Caledonia, to view the garden and sign to learn a bit more about helping out the pollinators – so necessary for our very survival.
This hopefully will encourage gardeners to plant a native/pollinator plant or two when next planting in their new flower beds.
Many thanks are extended to all the groups involved and to Haldimand County for the help and support given in order to make this important garden happen.
