HAGERSVILLE—The winner of this year’s West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) Auxiliary Holiday Basket is Joanne. West Haldimand General Hospital Auxiliary was founded in 1963, one year before the hospital opened. Auxilians are a group of volunteers very active within the hospital, from our group of sewers/knitters/quilters, to fundraisers, raffle draws, cookie walks, and card parties hosted monthly. Our Café & Gift shop is in the main lobby and offers a variety of items for sale such as clothes, books, handmade quilts, aprons, purses, scarves, jewellery and more. We also prepare and sell sandwiches, soups, and muffins. The Auxilians efforts help raise much needed funds for the hospital. For more information on volunteering at WHGH call Karen at 905-768-3311 ext. 1145.
