Caledonia Farmers Market announces new location

CALEDONIA—The Caledonia Farmers Market is making a change!

The market will open May 18, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. at our new location: the Caledonia Fairgrounds, located at 151 Caithness Street East.

We are excited with the new location move, as we will now have room to expand and offer a larger variety of vendors for the growing community of Caledonia.

All our vendors are returning this year along with some new ones too.

The Caledonia Farmers Market is bringing farm-fresh goodness and old-fashioned hospitality to Caledonia on Thursday evening from 2 to 7 p.m. The market is operated by local Haldimand farmers and is open from May through December with over 15 vendors.

The market will take place outside along the banks of the Grand River, making it one of the most beautiful farmers’ market settings in the province. Come rain or shine to get your fresh produce at our market, but during inclement weather the market will take place inside the Riverside Exhibition Centre.

Agriculture is an important part of the local economy in Haldimand County and in 2009 the market was established in Caledonia by farmers with the assistance of the County – and today it is still run by the farmers.

Visiting the farmers’ markets not only helps support local small farm businesses and food related businesses, but it connects you with the farmers who grow your food.

Fresh taste and excellent quality are the next best thing to harvesting it yourself!
