CALEDONIA—There’s a new Caledonia Fair Ambassador following a competition held on June 29, 2023 at the Riverside Exhibition Centre. Joyce Fox of Canfield was chosen in a competition including an interview, speech, and impromptu question. Each contestant impressed the audience and judges: Rebekah Passow of Hagersville shared her insights on the importance of agriculture in Haldimand and Ontario; Fox spoke about what makes the Caledonia Fair special; and Harley Lynn Atkinson of Caledonia offered thoughts on the value of volunteering. For the next year Fox will represent the Caledonia Fair in the community and during the Caledonia Fair. She will also compete in the Ambassador of the Fairs competition at the Canadian National Exhibition in August 2024.
