CAYUGA—The Cayuga Country Market is preparing for its inaugural opening day on June 1, 2024, and the community is rallying behind them for a smooth start. Cayuga Mutual donated $1,000 to the market in March, to be used for its general operational costs. “Thank you to Cayuga Mutual for the very first donation to the Cayuga Country Market!” said market founder Cindy Raymer (left). “What an exciting day to be handed a BIG cheque, something I have never experienced.” Pictured with Raymer are Cayuga Mutual representatives Charlene Croft, Jaden Brownell, and Nicole Bainfrim. The Cayuga Country Market will be open every Saturday from June 1 to October 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 8 Echo St. W. (site of the old administration building). Vendors interested in a spot can email cayugamarket@gmail.com for more information. —Submitted photo.
