DUNNVILLE—On April 27, 2024 (l-r) Rachel Boyce, Bronson Boyce, Bob Perry, John Upshall, Nadime, Brad Spencer, Greg Segui, Nyree Segui, Ruth Swan, and Lynn Spencer were among the members of Dunnville Rotary and volunteers who embraced the challenge of the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup. Their efforts culminated in the removal of over 14 bags of beach debris at Rock Point Provincial Park. This annual Rotarian endeavor coincides with various Earth Day initiatives, symbolizing a unified commitment to environmental stewardship. What began as a local endeavor has blossomed into a regional movement, encompassing districts bordering all five Great Lakes and the intricate water systems nourishing them. —Submitted photo. 
CALEDONIA—Local resident Corry Willekes spearheaded a recent ongoing effort to clean up litter behind the north end Tim Hortons in Caledonia. Shown in this picture is the trash and debris he collected. 
Shown is the land after local resident Corry Willekes and others cleaned up. He noted, “Spending that quiet time in nature and retracing my steps, (I) was always able to find more.” He added that he plans to plant trees this spring and summer.
