CAYUGA—The Haldimand soccer season was wrapping up for many young athletes on the August 24, 2024 weekend with their annual year-end tournament. At left is the U13 Hagersville/Cayuga Team 2, known as the blue team, who took home the gold medals in the Championship A tournament. This was the second year in a row this team took the championship in their division. This year they had a perfect 6-0 first game, continued their winning streak with a 4-2 score in their second game, and then came up against Cayuga/Hagersville Team 3 in the final game; it was a close match, with ‘the blue team’ taking the win 2-1. The team was led by coach Adam Bartlett and assistant coach Mike Phibbs. Players included: Lucas Amaral, Elias Asante, Paxton Bancroft, Jaxon Bennett, Gavin Broer, Gavin Court, Brandon Hussack, Nickolas Johnson, Ryan Klotz, Mexus Lemire, Demond Link, Raiden Link, Braden Martin, Daniel Phibbs, Tyler Slater, Daxton Sones, Jagger Urie, and Wyatt Willoughby.
