HAGERSVILLE—It was a win/win at the Hagersville Memorial Arena on December 7, 2024. The Hawks won their game against the Niagara Falls RiverHawks in overtime with a 5-4 score, but perhaps even better the Hagersville Food Bank won with a donation of food and cash from the annual food drive done by the Hawks.

Team Manager Keith Krauskopf stated, “They collected over 200 pounds of food, as well as $100 in cash. And the team is very happy to help the food bank here at Christmas time.”

Krauskopf thanked the loyal fans for bringing their gifts of food and cash to recent games.

Karen Leatherbarrow, representing the food bank, said, “The Hagersville Food Bank is thrilled again to be receiving food from the annual Hagersville Hawks Food Drive. They have been very generous to us over the years since 2012, since we opened. And we are very, very grateful.”
