It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Gordon Sutor at West Haldimand General Hospital on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in his 85th year. Husband of Marilyn. Loving father of Louise, Patricia (Norm), Catherine (Rick), Jim (Tammy). Proud grandfather of Taylor (Wade), Mike, Zack, Jennifer (Aaron), Beverley (Ray), Stephanie (Kent), Joseph, Dale (Julia), Dillon (Leanne), Wesley (Becky), Nicholas (Courtney), Matthew (Myah), Bailey, Lucas and Brooklyn. Great-grandfather of Macy, Mylee, Scarlett, London, Bennett, Luke and Rowan. Brother of Dorothy (late Ray), Phyllis (late Ross), Marilyn (Ken), Clarence (Gail), Helen (Dan). Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Hazel and by his brother Bill. Bob was a proud farmer at his farm in Canfield and also worked at Stelco, retiring in 1999 after 37 years. He was also a member of the Canfield Fire Department and the St. John’s Lodge Cayuga. He found great joy in spending time with his family: visiting, playing games and watching the grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and play. His siblings were all so dear to him and he always looked forward to their regular get togethers: visiting, eating, and playing cards. Bob will be remembered for his strong personal work ethic, his quiet demeanor and genuine love for his family.
Visitation was held at J W Hart Funeral Home, Dunnville on Monday December 15th followed by Funeral service Tuesday December 16th at 11 am. Burial followed at Windecker Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com
