DUNNVILLE—On January 8, 2026, at approximately 1 a.m., members of the Haldimand OPP received a report of a suspicious person attempting to enter vehicles on Maple Street in Dunnville.
The individual was located and taken into custody. They were charged with:
* Theft under $5,000
* Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
* Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
The charges have not been proven in court. The accused was held in custody until they appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.
