OPP Brief: Dunnville driver charged after failing to stop

DUNNVILLE—An individual is facing charges following a traffic stop investigation in Dunnville.

On Friday, July 3, 2026 at 9:05 p.m., a member from the Haldimand County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting general patrol in Dunnville when they attempted to initiate a traffic stop on George Street.

The vehicle failed to stop for police. As a result of the investigation, the driver was located and placed under arrest.

A 38-year-old of Dunnville has been charged with the following offences:
* Flight from peace officer
* Driving while under suspension

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on September 8. None of the charges have been proven in court.
