CALEDONIA—Three individuals are facing charges as a result of a traffic stop investigation.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026 at approximately 2:40 p.m., a member from the Haldimand OPP conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Argyle Street South, Caledonia.
As a result of the investigation, approximately 10,000 unmarked cigarettes were seized, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
The 35-year-old driver of Stoney Creek has been charged with the following offences:
* Possess unmarked cigarettes
* Driving while under suspension
* Drive without proper headlights – motor vehicle
Additionally, a 29-year-old individual and a 36-year-old individual, both from Hamilton, have also been charged with:
* Possess unmarked cigarettes
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 2. None of the charges have been proven in court.
