Hope From Above takes flight for Family Fun Day

CAYUGA — High-flying fun abounded at Hope From Above Ministries’ (HFAM) first-ever Fly-In and Family Fun Day at the Bruce Field Airport in Cayuga.

Saturday, August 8, 2026 proved to be a great day for a free flight of the Haldimand area.

The weather cooperated, which allowed for the event to proceed as planned with live music, assorted foods, a bouncy castle, face painting, and plane rides.

This new outdoor event was meant to entice new supporters of the group’s humanitarian work in Haiti, as well as to thank current donors and volunteers. Two pilots brought their own planes to support the cause.

“If anyone wants to support the work of this ministry, the need is big in Haiti,” said the organizers. “Airplane fuel is the biggest consumable, and prices have recently increased significantly. If anyone would like to join in the efforts of HFAM, one-time or monthly donations are greatly appreciated.”
