With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bryan Edward Edie on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Rapelje Lodge in Welland. He was 79 years old. He is reunited with his parents, Colin and Dorothy; his brothers, Reg and George; sister, Linda; and lifelong friend, Jim (Fetch). Bryan was a beloved husband and best friend to Janice, a loving father to Tom (Kelly), Terri (Dave) and Geoff, an adored stepfather to Jamie, Carly and Rob (Jen), and a cherished grandfather to Taylor (Clayton), Morgan (Tyler), Jeremy and Jerred. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers Glen and Jim, sisters Nancy and Kathy (Joe), and sister-in-law Liz. Growing up on a farm in Cayuga, he was no stranger to hard work. He retired as a welder from John Deere but spent time driving taxi afterward. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1 – 3 p.m. at The Dunnville Community Lifespan Centre, 275 Ramsey Drive, Dunnville, ON. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Welland.
