January 16, 1951 – October 11, 2026
Peacefully, in her 76th year, on October 11, 2026, at Grandview Lodge in Dunnville, Ontario, Shari will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard; son, Todd McDaniel (Jodi); granddaughters, Kali and Asia; brothers, Lee (Sharon) and Mike (Marjorie); sister, Patti Tennyson; and nieces and nephews, Cam, Frank, Michael, Hillary, Phyllis and Nathan. Born and raised in Dunnville, Shari lived a life marked by determination, independence, hard work, and a spirit of adventure. As a single mother in Peterborough, she successfully managed an award-winning Texaco service station, purchased a home and raised her son, demonstrating her strength and resourcefulness. Her journey also took her to Winnipeg, where she worked as a fast-paced city courier driver, and later to Oshawa, before eventually returning to her hometown of Dunnville. Strong-willed and resilient, Shari was never one to let challenges or setbacks defeat her. She faced adversity with determination, embraced new experiences, and was always up for fun and adventure. Shari especially enjoyed time spent at the cottage on Lake of Bays and along the shores of Lake Erie, creating memories with family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, perseverance and spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 142, 305 Queen Street, Dunnville, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital & Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
