To The Haldimand Press
On May 16, 2019 we had our second Haldimand 4-H Beef Club meeting.
We practiced our judging skills. For example, we judged four different hay bales. We had to give our reasons why a certain bale was better than another for a cow that had just had a calf. We also judged beef cows, dairy cows, and pitchforks (one of the pitchforks was a shovel, which made that one much easier to judge!). The Judging Competition was held on June 10 at vWalpole Antique Farm Machinery Association in Jarvis.
