CALEDONIA—I am happy to announce that thanks to your support and the generosity of our wonderful community, including the Caledonia Minor Hardball Association, which has kindly offered to host us again this year, that the seventh annual Caledonia Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Henning Ball Park on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 12 to 4 p.m.
With 1,100 children registered last year, we are expecting that even more families will attend this great family community event. I, The Easter Bunny, will be there; we will also have live bunnies and alpacas to pet, face painting, a music DJ, delicious food, raffles, and other community group activities. We are also hoping that local police, firefighters, and EMS who have been great supporters since day one will also be actively involved again. Not to mention 30,000 chocolate eggs to hunt.
We will also be collecting non-perishable food items again on behalf of the Caledonia and District and Six Nations Community food banks. Thanks to the generosity of the families that attended last year we collected 500 pounds of non-perishable food and $80 in cash for the two food banks.
