It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Hampson announces his passing on October 26, 2025, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Born on July 6, 1939, in Sheffield, U.K., Brian and his family immigrated to Canada in 1974, eventually settling in Cheapside. Brian was employed as a millwright, working at Dofasco, Stelco, and Ontario Hydro in Nanticoke, retiring after 25 years of service. He is survived by his sons Andrew (Jamie) of Dartmouth, N.S.; Phil (Kathy) of Windsor, N.S.; Peter (Glenda) of Eastern Passage, N.S.; and David (Tammy) of Sooke, B.C.; as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Rose; his wives, Maureen and Hazel; and his granddaughter, Kellie. After Hazel’s passing, Brian moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to family. At Brian’s request, there will be no celebration of life. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lewis Hall Retirement Facility in Dartmouth, N.S.
