It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Floyd Gary Bruce Helka, April 5, 2025, in his 74th year. Floyd is predeceased by his father Bruce Freeman Helka and is survived by his mother Mary Katherine Helka (nee Hoover). Floyd has three children: Jason, Jeremiah and Amie and he has many grandchildren. Brother of Dale and her husband Rick Waxman, Faye (the late Rodney Phibbs) and her fiancé Gord Morris, Teresa Helka and her partner Rob Turvey and Brice and his wife Irene. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Floyd suffered a heart attack and stroke in 2010 and he was cared for by his mother for a few years until he moved to Maple Grove in Dunnville. We are grateful for the care and attention Floyd received from the staff at Maple Grove and Haldimand War Memorial Hospital who were very good to Floyd while he was in their care. He will be missed by all. At Floyd’s request, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to COOPER FUNERAL HOME, Jarvis (519-587-4414).
